Process Automation of the climate control systems for a poultry house.
|
Developed a poultry house climate control management system. It provides complete climate control system including heating, cooling, humidity, as well as feed and light controls for optimized poultry production.
|
- Each heater, fan and coolers are thermostatically controlled using a configurable number of temperature probes for zoning.
- A sorted list, based on temperature setpoints of the heating and cooling devices, provides a quick overview of the system.
- Automatic target ramping simplified day to day temperature adjustment.
- All analog values and device operations are trended for detailed analysis.
- Allows the installer to configure the application for each specific poultry house, and then clone configuration for multiple poultry houses.
- The program was written in C.
- Units are “networkable” and support modem link for remote monitoring via a PC application.
- Several hundred field installations.

Intelligent system development and continuous improvement of the design parameters resulted in a user friendly and easily duplicated system. The success of the project implementation was based on vigilant effort to deliver on all design criteria.
